This appendix concludes the first edition by placing CEI in the context of established engineering practices and providing reference material for further study.
CEI is intended to complement existing engineering and governance practices by providing a runtime execution model rather than replacing broader organizational or regulatory frameworks.
| Framework | Relationship to CEI |
|---|---|
| ISO 27001 | Supports information security controls around governed execution. |
| ISO 9001 | Complements quality management through traceable execution. |
| NIST AI RMF | Provides AI risk management context that can inform runtime governance. |
| NIST CSF | Aligns with cybersecurity practices supporting resilient operations. |
| EU AI Act | Relevant to AI governance obligations where applicable. |
| SOC 2 | Supports operational evidence and audit readiness. |
| COBIT | Complements enterprise IT governance. |
| TOGAF | Can be used alongside CEI in enterprise architecture initiatives. |

The first edition introduces Constitutional Execution Infrastructure as a governance-oriented execution architecture supported by formal specifications, implementation guidance, and reference patterns. Future editions may expand the specifications, implementation examples, performance guidance, and interoperability profiles as the field evolves.
